SUMMARY:Men's Retreat 2026
DESCRIPTION:Men’s Retreat 2026\nThis year the theme is “Who am I REALLY\, in the world today?” \nIn this world of AI fakes\, curated social media identity\, narcissistic self-development\, internet pornography and polarised outrage it can be difficult to discern who we really are individually and collectively\, and to find space where it feels safe to figure that out and be real. Space to graciously encourage each other to be real\, and value each other as we are instead of who this world apparently expects us to be. Space to be fully ourselves. \nCost\n\n\n\n\nEarly Bird\nLate Bird (after 4 August)\n\n\nEarner\n$260\n$290\n\n\nNon-earner\n$205\n$230\n\n\nStudent\n$160\n$180\n\n\n\n\n\nBooking by payment is essential. SUMMARY:Gordon Neufeld: Hold On To Your Kids In a Digital World
DESCRIPTION:An Evening with Gordon Neufeld: Hold On To Your Kids in a Digital World\nMonday 14th September\, 7:30pm-9pm\nRegister Here\nDescription\n\nWe are in dire need of solid insights that can inform our kid’s relationships with screens and reshape how we manage them in our children’s lives. \nAs parents\, we are often caught in an exhausting daily battle\, trying to pry our kids away from their devices. But what if the relentless pull of the screen isn’t just about the technology itself? While we are increasingly coming to understand the concerning impact of digital technologies on our youth\, there is hardly any understanding of how screens affect their most important relationship of all: the one between us and them. \nRestricting screen time alone will not address the root problem. We must first come to understand the relational dynamics that drive digital obsession. When attachment energy shifts horizontally to peers our kids’ devices are no longer just a toy nor a tool but become an emotional lifeline to their peer group\, driving an around-the-clock obsession to stay connected. \n  \nIn this one-off Auckland event\, internationally renowned developmental psychologist Dr. Gordon Neufeld will deliver a profound paradigm shift for New Zealand parents. Dr. Neufeld will use his attachment puzzle pieces to make sense of screens\, their intense pull on our children\, and their insidious effect on family dynamics. By restoring the “vertical transmission” of the parent-child relationship\, we can shield our kids from digital harm and ensure they find refuge with us rather than in a wounding online world.
