Community outreach

Mission partners

The Mission Support Group works to support partners from St. George’s who serve overseas and to raise awareness of overseas mission amongst church members. We support two long-term partners:

Dee Jones (SIM) works with Foundations for Farming in Zambia

Sarah Scott Webb (SIM International) works to prevent human trafficking and exploitation in Asia

The Dunbar Family (NZCMS) serving the Anglican Church of Christ Our Peace in Phnom Penh, Cambodia

One of our Mission Partners, Sarah Scott-Webb is travelling to Sarajevo for 2 weeks with her work with For Freedom International.

Please pray for Sarah over this time,

  • Please pray for smooth connections and travel
  • For good health and energy while she is away.
  • That she may have great clarity and discernment as she listens and responds to what will no doubt be challenging conversations.
  • Please pray as she leads discussions exploring core competencies for anti-trafficking workers and that she may facilitate this well!
  • For the session she leads on “Peace in the Storm”, a time of reflection, release and restoration, that it blesses those present to experience a deep refreshing and refilling from the Lord.
  • Please pray for Sarah and her brother, Mike and their time together in London after 4 and a half years apart.
  • For Adam, her other brother from Australia, who is struggling with his mental health.

Overall, please pray for Sarah, Tessa and Kieran for protection and peace and positive time for them. That it may signal a new season of freedom from grief and trauma.
