Pastoral care

Members of St George’s support and care for each other in small groups and home groups but individual specific pastoral care and prayer ministry is also available as well as a confidential prayer chain.

Prayer

Prayer is the life-blood of St George’s and there are various opportunities to be prayed for, or to pray with others.

Sunday Prayer

Individuals trained in prayer ministry will pray with you at the altar rail at the front of the church after the 9.00 am and 10.45 am services.

Prayer Chain

Confidential prayer by a dedicated group of intercessors is available for emergencies and crises. Prayer chain contact: Priest In Charge at the church office 520 5652

Prayer Groups

A group meets before the 9.00 am Sunday service to pray for all the congregations. There is also a weekly evening prayer group and another that meets fortnightly on a weekday morning.

24/7 Prayer

Once or twice a year, one of the youth rooms under the hall is dedicated to non-stop prayer for a whole week. People sign on for at least an hour to pray alone or with others and can use art materials, candles, music, a journal or post-it notes in the ‘wailing wall’ to express their prayers.

Retreats

A Day-long women's retreat is held each year. Since 2006 they have been at Vaughan Park, Long Bay, fabulous location this day is very popular. Contact Lisa at the office for details 520 5652.
